At The Centre for Psychology & Emotion Regulation, we are committed to providing high-quality, evidence-based therapy in a compassionate and supportive environment. Our therapy fees are set in accordance with the guidelines outlined by the College of Psychologists of Ontario, the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario, and the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers, ensuring fair and ethical pricing for professional mental health services. Below, you will find a general overview of our service fees.
We understand that navigating therapy costs can be complex, and that these can be a barrier for some people. We always aim to be as flexible and supportive as possible when creating personalized treatment plans, taking costs into account. Fees vary depending on the type of treatment and clinician providing care. Below are our standard session rates:
- Psychotherapist & Social Worker: $200 per 60-minute session
- Psychologist: $275 per 60-minute session
Specialized treatments, such as DBT and MED-DBT, are offered at an average rate of $250 per session.
We offer a range of group therapy programs and specialized treatment options. Fees for these services vary depending on the type, duration, and structure of the program. Please contact us for specific details regarding:
- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Skills Groups: $135 per Skills Group
- OHIP Covered Eating Disorder Support Groups (available to those with a valid Ontario health card)
Many extended health benefits plans provide coverage for services offered by registered psychotherapists, social workers, and psychologists. We encourage you to check with your provider to confirm the details of your plan, including:
- Coverage for specific types of professionals (psychotherapists, social workers, psychologists)
- Yearly limits on session reimbursements
- Any required referrals or pre-approvals
At this time, our services are not covered by OHIP. However, many clients successfully claim their sessions through workplace benefits, private insurance, or third-party funding sources.
We work with various insurance providers and funding programs, including:
- WSIB (Workplace Safety & Insurance Board)
- NIHB (Non-Insured Health Benefits Program)
- CAF (Canadian Armed Forces) & VAC (Veterans Affairs Canada)
If you are eligible for coverage through these programs, we may be able to bill directly or assist you with the reimbursement process. Please contact us to discuss your specific coverage options.
Please note that we do not direct bill to other third-party insurance providers. However, we can provide detailed receipts that you can submit for reimbursement through your insurance plan. If you have any questions about your coverage, please contact us to discuss your specific options.
- Payment is required at the time of service. We accept credit cards, e-transfers and Paypal.
- A 2-business day cancellation policy applies to all appointments. Cancellations made with less than 2 business day notice may be subject to a full session fee.
